Meet Marie

I always dreamed of becoming a Mom. If you would have asked 5 year old Marie what she wanted to do when she grew up, I would have told you I wanted 6 children, MINIMUM. I also wanted to be a Doctor, Lawyer and a Vet (overachiever over here). I did very well in  school growing up and thought, well maybe just a Doctor and a Mom of 6, that would be great. In high school I got my very first camera and fell in love with the beauty of film and developing my own images. I found myself looking forward to photography class and even attempted to make my own light room at home (it didn't get very far). Once I graduated, I decided to head to college and study medicine as my childhood self had planned. About three days after my graduation, I found out I was pregnant with my first daughter Sofia. I continued school, was blessed with another daughter Victoria and walked across the stage to get my diploma when Sofia was 1 and Victoria was only 6 weeks old. All along this journey I continued to photograph every step of the way. I even opened up for business to make extra money to pay for my classes. A few years down the road, I was working in the corporate world, & taking photography clients in my spare time. I was making all the money I needed to provide for my daughters and give them all that their little hearts desired. They had everything except my time. I was working weekends and struggling to keep up with drop offs and pick ups. To top it all off, in the middle of a pandemic, SUPRISE, I  was pregnant. DOUBLE SUPRISE, it was twins! Emma & Ella joined the girl gang in 2020 & I decided it was time to leave the corporate world and spend more time with my family. I wanted to focus on what makes me happy and brings me joy. Photography has not only allowed me to spend more time with my girls than I could have ever dreamed of, but it has also allowed me to provide them with everything they need. I love getting creative with my photography and coming up with new and innovative shoots that will truly capture who you are and the things you love.
